Escapism Foundry are compiling an anthology of the best roleplaying stories we can find.
You story could be about:
• A great character you played with.
• A truly terrible character you played with.
• The best adventure/mission/plot you ever took part in.
• An interesting, entertaining or dramatic character death.
• An event that taught you something about roleplaying.
• Something that happened to your group out of game.
• How roleplaying has affected your life.
Or just about anything else you can think of!
The aim is to produce a collection of stories that are exiting, interesting, entertaining and funny. We also want to gather gamers’ views on gaming. We hope to provide a book that gives new insights into roleplaying and roleplayers.
Please only send us stuff that you are happy with us publishing. All contributors whose stories we use will receive a free PDF copy of the book. You will receive full credit in the book as long as you provide us with your name. Please make sure you have permission from other people involved in these stories as we don't want complaints about people using them unfairly. Only one person can recieve the prize for a story, although you're welcome to share it once you recieve it.
Please send all submissions to editor@escapismfoundry.co.uk. Try to keep your submissions relatively brief. Don’t write any more than 1500 words in any submission. You won’t need that many for most stories but that’s the upper limit. You may send in several stories, please send them in separate emails or as separate attachments to the same email. We reserve the right to edit all submissions.
Avoid mentioning the names of any games that may be trademarked by other games companies. For example don’t write “In a game of Dungeons and Dragons...” Instead you might say “In a fantasy game…” The editor reserves the right to alter all submissions to make them suitible for publishing. We'll try to avoid doing it but sometimes we just need to edit things a little.
Please pass this message on to other’s who might be interested but please do not turn it into spam. Make sure you have the moderator’s permission before posting it on a message board or mailing list.
We look forward to receiving your stories.
